NEW: Vær med til at lave Danmarks nye udviklingspolitik [in Danish]

I det første halvår af 2012 skal den danske regering formulere en ny strategi for det danske udviklingssamarbejde. Strategien dækker de omtrent 15 milliarder kroner, Danmark årligt fordeler i form af udviklingsbistand. Den strategi ønsker udviklingsminister Christian Friis Bach at forankre i en debat, alle danskere kan deltage i. 

 
Fra 9. – 31. januar sætter politiken.dk i samarbejde med Udenrigsministeriet og otte eksperter Danmarks udviklingspolitik til debat: Hvilke områder skal vi prioritere? Og hvem skal pengene gå til? Debatten og læsernes bedste input vil indgå i regeringens arbejde. Udviklingsminister Christian Friis Bach deltager løbende i debatten.

Call for Proposals: International Development Conference 2012

The 8th IDC conference to be held December 3-5, 2012, in AUckland, New Zealand, invites high-quality submissions for sessions and individual papers with a particular focus on the conference theme of integrating research, policy and practice. In addition to scholars in development studies, anthropology, geography, history, global health, international studies, political studies and other related disciplines, the conference also welcomes submissions from practitioners and policy makers who can speak to the effective use of research and its findings in increasing the impact of development projects.

Paper submission deadline: June 30, 2012

World Bank eAtlas of Gender. In connection with the 'World Development Report 2012: Gender Equality and Development', the World Bank has developed an user-friendly, interactive electronic atlas that allows users to map and graph dozens of gender indicators over time and across countries.

Organisationer/institutioner kan indstille en eller flere erfarne folk fra deres organisation/institution til posten. Projektpuljen har 3 ansøgningsrunder om året. Opgaven omfatter gennemlæsning og vurdering af 6-10 ansøgninger pr. medlem pr. ansøgningsrunde, samt deltagelse i afgørelse af 40-55 ansøgninger pr. runde.

Call for registration: Researchers for Development Analysis (REDA)

Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs have developed a shared database to strengthen the role of research in Swedish development cooperation, by increasing the accessibility to existing experts in all academic disciplines for Sida and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Researchers that are interested in contributing to strengthening the role of research in Swedish development cooperation are encouraged to register regardless of academic discipline or focus area of research.
